Aiming for the playoffs, the Wild acquired Jason Pominville on Wednesday, according to an ESPN.com report on Wednesday.

The Sabres traded their captain and a fourth-round draft pick in 2014 to the Wild for prospects Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett plus a first-round draft pick in 2013 and a second-round draft pick in 2014.

The Ducks announced today that the club has traded goaltender Jeff Deslauriers to the Wild in exchange for future considerations.
 
Deslauriers, 28, appeared in eight contests for the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL, compiling a 6-8-0-1 record. In addition, Deslauriers appeared in two games with Norfolk of the AHL this season, going 1-1-0 with a 3.51 GAA and .889 SV%. 
 
Deslauriers has appeared in 62 career NHL contests with Anaheim and Edmonton, posting a 23-32-4 record with three shutouts, a 3.24 GAA and .901 SV%. 

The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired center Matthew Lombardi from the Coyotes in exchange for left wing Brandon McMillan.
 
Lombardi, 31, has collected 262 points with 289 penalty minutes in 529 career contests with Calgary, Phoenix, Nashville and Toronto. He appeared in 21 games for the Coyotes this season, scoring 8 points. 

McMillan, 23, appeared in six games with Anaheim this season, collecting one assist. The winger made his NHL season debut on Mar. 4 at Phoenix and picked up his first point of the season in a 2-1 victory over the Wild on Mar. 13. McMillan began the season with Norfolk of the AHL, earning 13 points in 41 contests.

Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced today that the club has acquired forward Filip Forsberg from the Capitals in exchange for forwards Martin Erat and Michael Latta.

Forsberg has already been signed to a three-year entry level contract and is eligible to play in North America immediately.

The Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Patrick Killeen from the Penguins in exchange for future considerations, club GM Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Killeen has been assigned to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons.

Killeen, 22, has split his first three pro seasons between Wilkes-Barre of the AHL and Wheeling of the ECHL.  He is 2-2-0 with a 2.85 goals-against average in seven career AHL games and 41-33-8 with a 2.85 goals-against average in 89 career ECHL contests.

The Maple Leafs bolstered their defense Wednesday by acquiring Ryan O'Byrne from the Avalanche for a fourth-round draft pick in 2014, according to an ESPN.com report.

O'Byrne has a goal and three assists in 34 games this season for Colorado.

The Leafs also announced the signing of defenseman Andrew MacWilliam to a two-year entry level deal. MacWilliam, 23, was selected by Toronto in the seventh round of the 2008 draft.

Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired a seventh round draft choice in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft from the Devils in exchange for forward Steve Sullivan.

In 33 games with the Coyotes this season, Sullivan has collected 5-7-12 and 20 PIM. In 1,002 career NHL games with New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Phoenix, Sullivan has posted 288-454-742 and 583 PIM.

Sullivan signed with Phoenix as a free agent on July 4, 2012.

The Sharks have acquired forward Raffi Torres from the Coyotes for a third-round draft pick, according to a San San Mercury report.

The move right at the noon Wednesday trade deadline comes less than a day after the Sharks sent one of their more physical players, Ryane Clowe, to the Rangers.

"Our guys have played well enough that they deserve an addition," Sharks GM Doug Wilson said.

The Oilers acquired center Jerred Smithson from the Panthers on Wednesday for a fourth-round draft pick, according to an ESPN.com report.

Smithson has appeared in 35 games this season with the Panthers, recording two goals and three assists.

The Hurricanes traded forward Jussi Jokinen to the Penguins on Wednesday for a conditional draft pick, according to an ESPN.com report.

The deal was announced roughly an hour before the trading deadline.
